Two abducted girls recovered: four captors arrested

Sargodha: On 30.04.2014, two girls I, 20, and B, 22, were abducted while on their way towards Iqra Tuition Centre situated near Model Mart University road by unknown accused. On the report of their father a case was registered in Cant police Station. Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and IG Punjab Mr. Khan Baig took notice of this incident. District Police officer Raja Basharat Mahmood constituted a police party led by SDPO City Rana Ghulam Murtaza to trace the girls and arrest abductors. Regional Police Officer Ahmad Ishaq Jahangir and DPO Sargodha themselves monitored the performance of police team. After several abortive raids in various districts, the police team on 17th May 2014 recovered both the abducted girls and arrested four captors identified as Shamshad alias Shado, Umar Hayat Mughal, Sheikh Imran and Sultan Masih, all residents of District Sargodha. The police are investigating the accused. Inspector General of Police Punjab has announced cash prize and commendation certificate for the police party in recognition of their good performance.
