Jhal Chakian Police clamps down against drug peddlers, nine held

Sargodha: Jhal Chakian Police received complaints from the residents of their jurisdiction that some people were running illegal business of narcotics. In order to redress complaints, on the night between Sunday and Monday (25/26.02.2013), Jhal Chakian Police parties led by SHO Inspector Amjad Jalal conducted coordinated raids within their limits and arrested nine peddlers namely Khurrum Shahzad, Sher Zaman, Liaqat Ali, Muhammad Ashfaq, Nadim Malik, Ghulam Asghar, Saqlain Ali, Masood Ali and Abdul Sattar. The police registered separate cases against the accused and sent them to jail after recovering 62 bottles of liquor, 800gram heroin and one revolver from their possession.
